We now have a Discord server for FFXIV and other general use (read: more nerdy shit).

What's a Discord?
A voice chat alternative to clients like Ventrillo, TeamSpeak and Mumble. It's only in alpha but is quite promising so far.

So why should I use it?
We've been using it for the past few days and there seems to be less latency than Mumble. It also has a neat visual look and I'm petty enough to consider switching clients for that alone.

Wait, why would I want to hear you nerds talk about video games?
Because you likely have nothing better to do. Also raids and other silly shit like that.

Let's say I have a lapse in judgement and decide to tolerate you long enough for voice chat. How do I get in on this?

Are there any rules for this?
Not really. Just don't act like a pompous ass and you'll be fine.
